The Great British Break of 2016
Yes it is 2016...
BUT No I'm not leaving the YT, I'm not dead and I'm not the host of GBBO 2017, I'm also not holding an election, but I do need a break.
For those not aware, 2016 has been a rough year on a personal level (on top of everything else that happened this year). In a matter of months I've gone from having a happy healthy family to a Dad with terminal Cancer and a Mother who left her kids because she didn't want to be our mother anymore. Even after the very real prospect of having no parents within the near future (something I didn't think I would have to deal with at 19), even after that...I'm still attempting to stay positive and continue as normal.
I mean it may not have seemed like anything was wrong for most of the year but it's been there. I've tried to hide it from most people, I don't want pity or anything. All I ask for is acceptance from the people who are subscribed or follow me on twitter when I say I need a break, some time to gather myself together and hopefully start 2017 with hope.
So this Sunday will be the last video from me for a while. I will return for my 6th Anniversary of my channel around 24th November for perhaps a live hangout and a video or two. However I probably will not return properly until closer to Christmas.
This Sunday's video will bow me out for the foreseeable future with
Doctor Who FA Confidential 1.3 - The Critters of Nostalgia
which will contain a few celebratory videos concerning this years FA, it will also feature a look at the Next FA Project - A One-off Sarah Jane Figure Adventure to mark the 10th Anniversary of the show for 1st January 2017.
I will probably be on Twitter and Instagram throughout the break, including updates to the SJA Attic etc. But for YouTube, it's gonna get cold and lonely from me.
Thank you very much for taking your time to read through this blogpost,
Thank you for understanding (I hope) and I wish for 2017 to be Great for everyone.

Your Chance to Feature in My Last FA
So I said I'd like to get people involved in my last FA, so here it is!
If you want to feature in the last episode, all you need to do is send me via Email or upload unlisted and send me a link.....an audio clip from one of your FA's!
- Must be unscored (no music heard within the clip if possible)
- Can be from a previous episode or an episode that is likely to be out before December 2016
- Please keep it age appropriate (not that I expect the Doctor to swear)
- Avoid loud scenes, choose a clip which would represent your FA
- If another actor plays the Doctor in your FA, please let me know if they are known to do it for others, I don't want to end up with multiple clips of the same voice as no one could tell the difference. So either let me know or use a voice distinctive to your FA.
- Maximum of 15 seconds of audio.
- Send Audio or links to DWTODWFA@hotmail.co.uk
Thanks!
I cannot tell you how these will be implemented as that would spoil it. However this is the last chance for such a thing. Please also attach your YouTube Channel name or the name most people recognize you by, these will be featured either in the Credits or description (undecided as of yet).

Ventures in Space-Time
To fill the gap that producing long FA is creating, I think it needs to adapt, so I'm bringing a new range of FA to my Channel VERY SOON!
'Ventures in Space-Time'
No time for Adventures, only Ventures
The basic idea behind this is Mini-sodes with a twist, they will be experimental and are not limited to series formats. One week it could be a comedy sketch, the next it could be mini-horror story....it is limitless! The best thing is that these will be SO much easier to produce and so there will be more FA!
I already have a few other writers on board and would like to open it up to everyone.
So if you want to write an episode for 'Ventures in Space-Time'....here's all you need to know:
Specifications:
- The script can be anything up to 5 minutes maximum
- Be Experimental, you don't need to stick to rules.....as long as it's physically possible to make
- Please use either the Eighth or Eleventh Doctor*
- Avoid TARDIS Interior scenes (because I don't have them at Uni)
* - One special occasions I will stretch to certain Doctors but I'd prefer if you chose Eight or Eleven
- as for Companions:
Eighth will be with Ellie Kai, the companion introduced in Series Five
Eleventh can be with Clara or my Series 3 Companion, Jessica Bell.
If you do not wish to use a Companion, that is fine by me
Please send scripts (drafts or final versions) to my email DWTODWFA@hotmail.co.uk
File size - Doc. or PDF or Pasted within the Email.
If you have any questions, please feel free to email me or tweet me @DWTODWFA

After Series Five?
Most of you know that Series Five will indeed be the last Series of Figure Adventures from me! But what happens after that?
Well, this is where something I've wanted to do for ages comes into play...
Figure Adventures in Audio form.
You may be thinking "doesn't that defeat the purpose of a Stop-motion Animation Figure Adventure?"
It does yes.
From Mid 2016, I will be producing a range of Audio Adventures set with a particular Doctor from within my Figure Adventure Universe. Not my own Doctor but any Doctor which has appeared in my Figure Adventures over the last 6 years.
For EXAMPLE: I may produce Audio Adventures set with The Eleventh Doctor and Jessica Bell to fit in between episodes of Series Three of my Figure Adventures.
This will allow me to expand my FA Universe without the long stressful production of building sets, filming and editing visuals. In the future I may even turn some of these Audio Adventures into proper Figure Adventures if I ever find the time.
And even better, I will be allowing others to write Audio episodes too! So if you want to write a story to fit into my FA Universe, you can!
More news as it comes!

1st October UPDATE! - Please Read
It's been a VERY long time since I updated everyone (unless you follow me on Twitter in which case you get the news immediately) SO! News...
Firstly...Series Five now has 2 Extra Episodes...these are 'The Essence Chronicles' which tell the short but interesting stories of the other Incarnations of the Doctor looking for the Essence in their spare time.
The first entitled 'Execute' (Part One) features the Seventh, First and War Doctor's battling enemies Past, Present and Future for parts of the Essence. It also features Cameo's from the Twelfth, Fifth, Eleventh and Fourth Doctors who are on hand to help. This episode will now become Episode 3* and will likely be released Mid-Late October.
The second is entitled 'Terminus' (Part Two) and follows on from the War Doctor's story as well as with the Sixth and Ninth Doctors. This episode features cameos from the Eighth, Second, Tenth, Third and Twelfth Doctors. This episode is the 2nd half of the Chronicles and so is the final part of this section, with a Mini-Finale feel to it. This is now Episode 4 and is expected to be released November/Early December.
Now you will have realised these two Extra episodes have shifted most of Series Five up so that now the Series is a total of 13 Episodes and much later than first planned.
The Current Plan is as follows:
5.1: The Prequel - (Released 23rd Nov 2014)
5.2: The Years Of Trenzalore - (Released 7th Feb 2015)
5.3: The Essence Chronicles: Execute - (Expected Mid Oct 2015)
5.4: The Essence Chronicles: Terminus - (Expected Nov/Dec 2015)
5.5: Devoted To The Box - (Expected Early 2016)
5.6: The Lambent Ones - (Expected Early 2016)
5.7: The Critters Of Nostalgia - (Expected Early 2016)
5.8: The Jarkartah Expedition - (Expected Early 2016)
5.9: A Siege Submerged - (Expected Early 2016)
5.10: War Rivals - (Expected Early 2016)
5.11: Steel Deception** - (Expected Early 2016)
5.12: The Final... - (Expected Early 2016)
5.13: ...Farewell - (Expected Early 2016)
As you can see from the current plan, Series Five (the main lot 5.5-5.13) will not
reach your feeds until 2016. This was a rather annoying but realistic quote for these episodes.
By now you should be aware that I am now settled in to my new accommodation for University which means that majority of the FA stuff I had is now miles from my reach.
My initial plan was to have filmed all of Series Five before starting University so that it was only editing that needed to be done...unfortunately that has not happened. I start my course on Monday 5th October. My time from now on will be a lot shorter...
Apart from the fact that I wasn't going to finish and don't know when I will finish Series Five, I asked my 500 odd followers on Twitter for their opinion on this decision. A majority agreed that it would be best that 5.5-5.13 would be a constant weekly run for 9 weeks. It also means that you'll have 9 weeks of Who at the start of 2016 while we eagerly await Series 10 (Most likely Autumn 2016).
As for Production of Series Five...
5.3 is 88% filmed and editing on the opening sections has begun.
5.4 has nearly been fully written (final stages) and filming commences next week.
5.5-5.11 have already been written.
Filming on 5.5, 5.6 and 5.7 wrapped in August and editing has begun on these episodes.
Filming on 5.8 and 5.9 are being filmed as we speak and are just under halfway.
Filming on 5.10 and 5.11 will commence soon.
5.12 and 5.13 are currently in early stages of writing, as the Finale these are taking longer than normal but will most likely start filming in December.
It's going well, slow but steady!
I've introduced these two new episodes to bring you some sort of FA to bridge the gap between Trenzalore and 5.5-5.13.
As part of this Update, there is a BRAND NEW TRAILER on my YouTube Channel,
featuring clips from 5.3-5.9. I hope you enjoy it and hope you're still reading at this point.
Any more updates will be publicly shown either on Twitter, YouTube, here as a Blog or on Facebook. Links can be found on my YouTube Channel to all of them.
5.5-5.13 are labelled as Early 2016 because I do not want to give an exact date and end up changing it again. I will release a date as soon as most of the episodes are done and i'm happy with them.
They will most likely be Jan, Feb or March time, I am not 100% at the moment.
That I think is all for now, there will be a few 'new' type of videos on my Channel so there is at least something to watch! Sorry for the delays, hope you understand the situation and this is definitely my last Series, I will officially leave*** FA after 5.13 has aired, whenever that is.
Thank You and See You Soon!
* - Episode 3 because Episode 1 was 'The Prequel' and Episode 2 was 'The Years of Trenzalore'.
** - Originally titled 'Endured Pain', it has now been re-named to 'Steel Deception'.
*** - I was originally meant to leave 24th November 2015, however that is not likely due to S5.
